The Adventure Begins…

First off, I´d like to thank all my family, friends, and colleagues for their support with this project. (I guess this is how my speech to the Academy would begin.)

In all seriousness, I really appreciate all the care and concern expressed by my loved ones regarding this trip. I´ll be safe - promise.

I look forward to exploring the different aspects of Egyptian social life - from the Bedouin fisherman to college kids partying it up in Cairo. Overall, I my goal is to portray a positive image of life in the Middle East, one that I believe is requisite to improve East - West relations, especially now in this time of conflict.
